Arsenal returns to action in Premier League this weekend as they set to take on Southampton at Emirates Stadium. The Gunners go into the game as favorites as they look to clinch all the three points from the game as Southampton have had a very slow start to their campaign so far.
The Gunners are already five points adrift of their title rivals Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea but are keen to catch up with them as they look impressive as the fixtures went on. Arsenal have been phenomenal and dominant in their away game against Watford before international break as Wenger seems to get things in right place at the right moment.
Meanwhile, Southampton who are still adjusting to life under new manager Claude Puel are impressive despite not getting enough points. The Saints are only next to Manchester City and Chelsea in terms of possession as they have dominated the games with the ball bu could not find ways to score much-needed goals.
Team News:
Arsenal:
The arrival of Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi would surely boost the options for Arsene Wenger as the squad was hampered with injuries. Arsenal are given a further boost as Aaron Ramsey could return to the squad as he was sidelined after suffering a hamstring injury against Liverpool in their Premier League season opener.
Long-term absentees Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck and Gabriel Paulista will not be present in the squad. Arsene Wenger could still start Olivier Giroud against Southampton despite signing Lucas Perez as the Frenchman is keen to integrate the Spaniard as the season proceeds.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Xhaka, Cazorla, Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud
Southampton:
The Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster has suffered a minor hand injury but could still be fit in time for the crucial fixture. Other than this injury scare, Southampton does not have another injury worries and manager Claude Puel is expected to field in a best possible line-up against the Gunners.
