In the ongoing Duleep Trophy final between India Blue and India Red, Pujara amassed a fine double century on the second day in Noida. Pujara raced to his double century as the India Red bowlers were bewildered by the hunger displayed by Pujara.

With this double century, Pujara registered his tenth First Class double ton, and got his name involved in an elite company, also featuring legends Sunil Gavaskar and Rahul Dravid. For the upcoming test series against New Zealand, Pujara will be key for India at number 3. On pitches at home which assist him, one can expect the right-hander to amass quite a few centuries.
