The India team retained the under-performing batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan for the three-Test home series against New Zealand. The selectors completely ignored the players who have been performing consistently in the domestic circuit. Rohit mustered only 9 and 41 from two innings in the third Test during the recently concluded Test series in West Indies while after scoring 84 in the first innings of the series, Dhawan’s scores read 27, 26 and 1 before being dropped for the final Test.
