Manchester United new boy Paul Pogba has been slammed by fans after one more lacklustre performance during United’s shock 1-0 loss against Feyenoord in the Europa League opener.

The France international became the world’s most expensive footballer after he resigned for the Red Devils this summer from Juventus for £89million but so far he has failed to justify his huge price tag. In fact, he is looking like a pale shadow of his former self at Juventus when he was considered as one of the best in the world. The midfielder has looked completely out of sorts and has been accused of remaining totally anonymous by the fans even when the team won their opening few games.

However, he started garnering criticism after a woeful performance in the derby loss against Manchester City and his misery only compounded after one more poor outing against the Dutch outfit.

Not only fans but formers players like Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher have also criticised the French midfielder.

United legend Paul Scholes said: “I don’t really know what position he’s (Pogba) playing at the minute.

“Has he got a position? Has he been told to play where he wants?

“He seems to be a little all over the place at times. I think he’s trying to do too much on the ball.”
