Manchester United are ready to offer a new deal to teenage sensation Marcus Rashford as the club is keen to tie him down for a longer duration.
The 18-year old has signed a contract only in summer but the club is willing to increase his wages in an attempt to keep him at Old Trafford. The new deal would see Rashford earn £50,000-a-week which makes him the highest paid teenager in world football alongside Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches.
New manager Jose Mourinho is very happy with Rashford as the 18-year old has continued his fine form from last season to this season quite easily. Rashford broke into the Manchester United first team under Louis van Gaal in February this year.
In the span of seven months, he has grown into a very important player for Manchester United from being a completely unknown youth striker for the club prior to February.
He is expected to do big things as he is already showing maturity to cope up with the demands and pressure in Premier League. The club are keen to make the youngster happy despite the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from PSG which will limit his chances in the first team.
The club is determined to not have a similar situation of Paul Pogba and are keeping in constant touch with the player’s advisers as they want the young striker to settle at the club as he remains an important part of club’s future.
The 18-year old has so far made four appearances for Manchester United and scored one goal and made only one start. However, Mourinho is keen to have the teenager on his roster as he remains an X-factor despite coming on from the bench during the late stages of the match.
The rise of Rashford is truly a remarkable story as he made England debut earlier in the year and scored a debut goal in just over 2 minutes. He remains to be the next big thing at Old Trafford and the club are keen to keep hold of him.
