Arsenal star Theo Walcott reaches new milestone in his career 1

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has reached a new milestone in his career as he scored 100 career goals after netting Arsenal’s second goals against Hull City in their 4-1 victory.

The 27-year old was highly efficient in Arsenal’s comfortable victory which saw them win three Premier League games in a row now. Walcott started his Premier League career with Southampton in 2005 and scored his first career goal against Leeds United in October that year.

He then signed for Arsenal in 2006. The English international’s career was often hampered by injuries but he was a key figure in Gunners’ attack since his move to the Emirates a decade ago.

Having made his Premier League debut in August 2006, Walcott have scored 56 Premier League goals in his career over the last ten years as he averaged a little over five goals per Premier League season.

Walcott have scored his first international goal against Croatia in 2008 when he went on to score a hat-trick in the same game as England won comfortably with 4-1.

The Arsenal man has taken social media to celebrate his milestone as he posted a pic on his Instagram account which read “100”.

His hundredth career goal came in his 13th season as a professional player as he remains a key player for Arsenal this season. He looks to be back in his form as he played a crucial role in Gunners attack so far this season.

Arsenal fans would be hoping that he continues his fine form as the club are keen to make a Premier League challenge this season and are also looking to make a deep run in Champions League as they now have the chance to top the group after managing a point against PSG in the opening game.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is full of praise for the Theo Walcott after their 4-1 win against Hull City.

“He’s getting – slowly – there. He’s not completely ready psychically,” said Wenger.

“In the second half, he was much better than in the first. He has interesting qualities for us.  He goes behind and we have many players who like to come to the ball. And he’s one of the players who, for the quality of his runs and the quality of his interceptions, is very dangerous.

“Today in the first half he was influential in the goal, then he scored one. He’s efficient and that’s what you want,” Wenger added.
