India vs New Zealand test series 2016: Jimmy Neesham ruled out of the first test 1

New Zealand team have been dealt with another blow as Jimmy Neesham is ruled out of the first test at Kanpur starting from 22nd September due to hip injury. He will be expected to be fit for the second test starting from 30th September at Kolkata.

The New Zealand Cricket team have decided to not call for any replacements.  Mike Hesson, the New Zealand coach, expected Neesham to return to full fitness ahead of the second Test in Kolkata. “Jimmy was struck in the nets and has been in discomfort the last few days,” he said. “It will take a few days for the bruising to go away, but it’s very much a short-term injury.”

This is another major blow for the New Zealand team as they have already lost Tim Southee for the three match test series due to ankle injury. Neesham who did not play any cricket since last November due to back injury it will be a major for New Zealand to lose the second player.

New Zealand has not won a test series for the last 28 years. To lose two crucial players will affect the balance of the team going into the first test. Here we look at the team for the first test.
