Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has once again expressed his desire of buying Arsenal. Dangote has vowed to buy the North London club within the next three to four years. The Nigerian businessman is worth £8.3billion ($10.9bn) and is 67th in the list of richest persons of the world.
In an interview with Bloomberg, the Nigerian said that while buying Arsenal will take some time he will definitely buy the club.
“Maybe three to four years,” he said when asked about his plans of buying Arsenal.
“The issue is that we have more challenging headwinds. I need to get those out the way first and start having tailwinds. Then I’ll focus on this.”

The Gunners have struggled to win silverwares in recent seasons. They last won the League in 2004 and the businessman insisted that he would turn things around at the club after buying it.
“It’s not about buying Arsenal and just continuing with business as usual.
“It’s about buying Arsenal and turning it around.
I’ve run a very successful business and I think I can also run a very successful team.
Right now, with what we’re facing, over $20 billion of projects, I cannot do both.”
Arsenal’s majority shareholder, American tycoon Stan Kroenke’s current estimated wealth is £5.6 billion and he holds 67.05 per cent of the club while Alisher Usmanov, who owns 30.05%, is worth £10.2 billion.
