Legendary cricketer Shane Warne just cannot remain away from the spotlight. Ever since hanging his boot, the spin wizard has been involved in several affairs with celebrities that have turned a lot of heads.
The 47-year old’s skill of wooing a woman has made him a huge hit on the social media and fans keenly follow him to remain updated with his life events. And the incident that panned out on Friday is an apt evidence of his popularity among the masses on the social media.
The incident happened after supermodel Emily Ratajkowski posted a photo of her on Instagram. It showed the American actress pulling her hair behind her ears with the caption: ‘Morning London’.
Shane Warne, who had commented on one of her selfies earlier this month, was quick to comment on her photo once again. His comment read: “Stunning day in London!!! Enjoy. X”.

Well, it definitely looks like a harmless message but his reputation of flirting with women made the fans start a hilarious hashtag movement on Instagram. The fans asked the model to #GiveShaneAGo.

Some Instagram users used cricketing terms to encourage the former spinner while some opined that the supermodel is “out of the league” for the Australian.

Meanwhile, the incident was noticed by The Today Show and they included it in their weekend edition for its Sunday Jury segment. A female member of the panel compared the former bowler to “that guy that sits at the end of the bar and has those really cheesy lines hoping that one of them will work,” and “creepy Uncle Warnie” who “hugs too tight.”
As expected the comments did not go down too well with Warne and he took to Twitter to express his disappointment. He also threatened to take some legal actions against the show.
Is that right ? And you know this how ? By the rubbish journalism that some people write ! I'm doing just fine thanks, single & happy !!!! https://t.co/FxpZdw9qpl

Well, it seems Warne is trying to prove that he did not comment on the photo with other intentions but his history is too much for everyone to take his comment in a good sense. He hogged the limelight earlier this year when he was caught having a tryst with Brynne Edelsten.
