Arsenal continued their fine form in the season as they clinched a crucial three points against Basel at their first home game in the Champions League this season.
After a slow start to the season, the Gunners have come a long way as they looked a much improved side in the last few weeks. They now have four points after the first two games and have the chance to top the group.
The Gunners have went into the game on back of four back to back Premier League wins and were keen to continue their momentum against Basel as the Swiss side boasts a tremendous record against English sides in European competitions.
Theo Walcott has been the star for the Gunners as the player has been in the form of his life in the recent weeks. He has scored both the goals for Arsenal as the Gunners clinched the game 2-0 to get all the important points as they look to be a side to beat this season.
Young Bellerin have also starred in their dominant victory and the Gunners look positive under Arsene Wenger who is into his last season as manager at the club since managing them from 1996.
Here we look at the twitter reactions for Arsenal’s impressive victory against Basel.
Is it really that surprising? Theo Walcott was named man of the match in our win against Basel thanks to his two goals! ? pic.twitter.com/hdG2vYd31B

For all of my criticism of Wenger, would be great to see him winning the UCL before he retires. But frankly… it’s a pipe dream.

Running out of words to describe how good Alex Iwobi is. Phenomenal talent at only 20 years old. Twenty!

Alexis was best player on the field by quite a distance. Still, no doubts he'll be fuming he didn't put away any of his 3 chances tonight.
