The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has refund 30 per cent of match fees to now suspended IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RRS).
Both RR and CSK will get 11.4 and 8.4 crores respectively.
Recently Ravichandran Ashwin said that CSK’s reunion with limited over captain MS Dhoni is not possible. Last month BCCI last month paid an installment of Rs. 1,141,14,000 to BCCI which is 30 percent of the franchise fees paid to BCCI, the website of the BCCI said.
At the same time, RR had been paid Rs 8,40,18,000, constituting 30 percent of the franchise, which have been suspended for two years from playing in IPL by the Justice committee as punishment for their owners indulging in betting had paid the franchise fees under protest.
CSK and RR were banned by Supreme Court in 2015 as their team principal and co-owner were found guilty in match fixing.
They were part of 2016 IPL, instead of them Rising Pune Super Giants and Gujarat Lions played the IPL.
BCCI also rewarded the Hyderabad Cricket Association with a cash prize of Rs 28.75 lakh for providing good wickets and outfield for IPL 2016.
