Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has held talks with new manager Antonio Conte, according to The Times.
The Blues owner have reportedly held three lunch meetings with Conte to assess the situation at the club as the Blues have lost to Liverpool and Arsenal in the recent Premier League games.
Conte is believed to give the actual assessment of all the players present in the team and have suggested the downfall of form among some of the players as the Italian expressed his willingness to rebuild the squad at the club.
Abramovich has had his sympathy for the manager as the new boss have not made wholesale changes to the first team like other compatriots at different clubs did.
The Italian manager has got only N’Golo Kante who is on his wishlist as Conte wants to add him when he came to the club. Michy Batshuayi was spotted sporting director Michael Emenalo and the deadline day signings David Luiz and Marco Alonso came as they were desperate to add more players to their defense.
The manager has also confirmed that a number of players in the squad cannot be at their best again which helped the Blues win Premier League two seasons ago. The 47-year old believes that there is lot of complacency in the squad as they is the culture of player-power in the dressing room which is affecting the club at big time.
Conte is keen to dismantle the squad as he faces an uphill task at his new club to put Chelsea back in the elite of European clubs. The Blues have already lost their way early in the season and Conte is ready to make some bold decisions in the team as he vows to bring the best out of the team in the coming days.
