Over the last one month, India’s limited overs’ skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was very busy promoting his biopic titled ‘M.S. Dhoni -The Untold Story.’ There were rumours that India’s most decorated skipper was all set to attend comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ The highly-successful show has become a bug platform to promote the films and fans were eagerly waiting for Dhoni to attend the show.

According to reports in Times of India, the host of the talk show, Kapil Sharma was trying his best to have Dhoni on the show. However, in the end, the fans, as well as the show hosts and organisers, were left disappointed as Dhoni did not attend the show. In fact, not only Dhoni but no one associated with the film attended the show. There were rumours of something fishy behind the boycott of the show but Kapil Sharma’s creative partner Preeti Simoes has cleared the confusion surrounding the matter. Preeti told Bollywoodlife.com that there was no serious issue behind Dhoni’s absence from the show.

“It’s nothing like that. He(Dhoni) has not promoted the film on any TV show if you see. So that’s the only reason and there’s nothing more to it.”

When she was asked whether Sushant Singh Rajput, who is playing Dhoni’s character, will attend the show, she said: “The film has already released. Sadly, we lost out on the opportunity.”

Meanwhile, the much-awaited movie has hit the theatres on September 30. There were huge anticipation surrounding the movie and after the opening day it is safe to say that the movie has justified its hype. The biographical film has been very well-received by the audience and it is quite safe to say that the movie is all set to become a huge hit.
