Getting words out of Diego Costa is like extracting blood from a stone.
The Chelsea striker is the complete opposite of a media darling, rarely speaking with reporters throughout his career.
Eden Hazard felt that struggle today when he tried to interview Costa after Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Hull City.
The Belgium international grabbed a word with Willian, who, rather sweetly, dedicated his goal to his mother. The Brazilian then pledged to dedicate his next goal to Hazard.
Then Costa arrives, although it’s clear he doesn’t want to stay long.
Hazard asks the Spain international about his goal, to which Costa says “no comprende.” He then utters the words, “golazo” and “beautiful”, before making a sound that we’d associate more with an animal.

Costa might not have been willing to talk, but everyone was talking about him after he scored his sixth goal of the season.
In fact, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reserved praise for all three of the players in the mock post-match interview.
“It’s fantastic for him and for us that he’s scored six goals,” the Italian said, per Chelsea’s website. “Diego has the opportunities in every game but what’s important is the work he does for the team, together with Willian and Hazard.
“When you work hard you usually get opportunities. I’m pleased for him, Willian and Hazard. Hazard played well, with the right intensity and tried to do what I wanted.”
Chelsea ended a run of three league games without a win as they climbed to sixth on the table.
