Arsene Wenger to get new Arsenal contract as club try to fend off interests from FA for the England national team 1

London outfit Arsenal have picked up some good form early this season winnings 4 back to back league games to get into the top half of the points table in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger, who has now moved into his 21st year with the club has managed to get the team to play as a unit and will be eyeing some serious silverware this season.

However, his place in the side has come under a bit of a spotlight with the England national job calling from one side.

The FA had to rectify their mistake of appointing Sam Allardyce as the head of the national team after the sting operation from The Telegraph exposed him recently.

He had to be sacked from his position after just a game in charge and has left the England national team in a limbo for the next two qualifiers this month.

Gareth Southgate, England’s U21 coach, has not taken over the national side on a temporary basis and will be hoping to make an impact on the side.

But it does not come as a surprise that the Arsenal manager, who was in the past linked with the job, now favorites to land it this year.

According to recent reports, Wenger is one of the three people (Eddie Howe that other) in a shortlist to replace Allardyce in the national side and this has made the Gunners fans uncomfortable.

However, reports today give them some good news as it is now revealed that the Emirates outfit is ready to offer the 66-year old a new two-year contract to fend off interests from the national side.

Wenger was recently quoted saying he is flattered by the link and the fact that his contract with the club ends at the end of the season gave FA an opportunity to approach him for the job.

In his 20 years, Wenger has lifted the London franchise through good and bad and has now established them as one of the best clubs in Europe.

He has also spoken about his love and admiration towards the club and spoke about staying at the club for another few years.

It will be interesting to see if he accepts the new deal from the Arsenal management but it is understood that the manager might hold the England link against the club for a more lucrative offer.

The FA surely provides an exciting option for Wenger but it is to be seen whether his English club let his leave at the end of the season.

Do you think Wenger will stay at Arsenal for a longer time?
