'Bhuvi is the best swing bowler in India,' says Zaheer Khan 1
Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Indian legendary pace bowler Zaheer Khan has praised pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar after the Kolkata Test. The 26-year old has been in sensational form with his swing bowling which has helped India win the Eden Gardens test quite comfortably in the end.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has exhibited the class of swing bowling on an Eden Gardens wicket which has traditionally supported spinners more than pace bowlers. Coming into the test match in place of Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar has made the most of the opportunity as he rattled through the New Zealand top order which has helped India take a huge lead at the end of the first innings.

Bhuvneshwar has managed to take a five-wicket haul in the first innings and has looked very decent in the test match overall. He has been in spectacular form since IPL as he won the purple cap in the biggest domestic T20 league in the world and have continued his fine form into the longer format of the game.

Speaking to media, Zaheer Khan said: “He is the best swing bowler in India now.

“I am truly pleased to have watched Kumar’s bowling and it’s key reason is his controlled swing bowling on this wicket. The pitches in India are generally not conducive for swing bowling. Still, Kumar has been able to move the ball in both the ways with a perfect balance. Being able to control the swing of the ball is most important for any medium pacer. Kumar has been able to do that consistently.”

The 26-year old is slowly building his reputation as one of the best swing bowlers in the world by displaying his impressive skills on spin-friendly Indian pitches.
