Blow for Man United as Gareth Bale close to new deal with European giants! 1

Manchester United have slowly lost their place at the top of the Premier League points table with just one victory in the last four games leading into the international break.

The manager added a number of star players to his squad in the summer but has not been able to have an immediate impact on the squad from the previous season. Jose Mourinho will know that the Old Trafford outfit is in a state of transition and he will hope that there are not too many embarrassments during the process.

This has seen the Portuguese genius scout for a number of top class players for a potential move to the club in January or in the summer.

One such player who has been on the radar of the Manchester Club for some time now is Real Madrid stalwart Gareth Bale.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger moved to Spain in a then record transfer a few years ago and has ever since become an integral part of the squad at the Bernabeu.

Though he has at the time did not live up to his expectations, he has found some great consistency in recent times and easily one of the most dangerous players in Europe at the moment.

Jose Mourinho is understood to be a long-term admirer of the Welsh international and wants to work with him against at Manchester United now that he has a chance to splash the cash.

The Red Devils have already broken the transfer record in the sport earlier this season and a move for Bale will need them to do that for the second time in two seasons.

However, reports today have revealed that Manchester United might actually miss out on their target yet again.

The 21-year old is only entering his prime as a player and will get better by the game and the Spanish giants are not yet ready to let him go next summer.

Bale has been integral in Real winning their second Champions League title in 3 years and is one of the first names on the paper for Zinedine Zidane at the club.

This has seen the Spanish outfit take immediate action, offering Gareth Bale a new contract to fend off interests from the English outfit.

Bale’s attacking partner Cristiano Ronaldo has also signed a new deal at the start of the season and it is now understood that Real Madrid has tabled an incredible £91million deal which will make him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world.

It will not be easy for Manchester United, who reportedly met with Bale’s agent last week, as they will have to significantly improve on the record deal if they are to get their hands on Bale.
