Honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi appreciated India’s Test captain Virat Kohli for his contribution to the government’s Clean India initiative.
The batting star along with his teammates and BCCI President Anurag Thakur swept the stands at the Eden Gardens as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti during the second Test against New Zealand. The initiative to clean the country was launched by Mr. Modi on 2nd October in 2014.
The BCCI posted the video on Twitter which showed the players and the BCCI President participating in the drive.

Mr. Modi saw the video on a TV channel was delighted with the effort and took to Twitter to applauded them. He tweeted: ” Dear @imVkohli, saw your #MyCleanIndia moment on @abpnewstv. A small but powerful gesture that will surely inspire everyone.”
