Kabbadi World Cup 2016: India opens their account with a thumping win over Australia 1

India came back well by thumping Australia 54-20 in their second group match at Kabbadi World Cup 2016 tournament held at Ahmedabad, Gujarat just finished. It was a dominating performance by the Indian team who outplayed Australia right from the start.

In the first half, Indian team dominated right from the start. In the first 2 minutes, Indian team took a 3-0 lead. Australian raiders lacked experienced and the Indian team got the first all out in the match to give India a commanding 10-0 lead in the 4th minute. The Australian team got the first point of the match. Indian raiders continued to dominate and played with controlled aggression not allowing Australian team a chance. At the end of first half, India led 32-7.

The second half Australia performed much better than the first half. All the Indian raiders Anup Kumar, Manjeet Chillar did a brilliant job to make use of the inexperienced of the Australian team. In the second half Australia scored 13 points while India scored 18 points. Rahul Chaudhary could not do much with raiding. At the end of Kuldeep Singh gets a super raid and Rahul Chaudhary ended the game with touch point.

India was a far superior team than Australia with 10 tackle points to India as compared to 0 for Australia. The hosts got all out four times compared to 0 for Australia. With this win, India tops the table with 6 points.

India will next play Bangladesh on 11th October. In other results of the day Bangladesh defeated England by 52-18 and Kenya beat Poland by 54-48.
