India becomes first team to lose 400 ODIs 1

Yesterday, with a loss against New Zealand in the second ODI of the series, the Indian team earned an unwelcome record as the Indian became the first team to register 400 loss in ODI’s. At present, the Indian team has played a total 901 ODI’s in which they have registered a win in 455 matches whereas have lost 400 games. A total of 7 games has ended in a tie whereas 39 games saw no results. The Indian team has a winning percentage of 53.19%.

Pakistan cricket team with a total of 383 loss in their account stands second in this list. New Zealand team, which registered its first win on the tour has a total of 312 wins and have lost 349 games so far. They have a winning percentage of 47.22%.

The Australian cricket team with a  winning percentage of 64.42 has the best winning percentage in ODI cricket. In 888 ODI’s played by them, they have registered a win in 547 games whereas have lost just 300 games. They have the most feared teams from the year 1999 to mid-2010. The South African team with a winning percentage of 64.05 stands second in this list.

Surely, the numbers suggest that Australian is still a better side and are ahead of many other teams with South Africa rising in the rankings. Though Indian cricket team is the strongest of the teams in present era but numbers suggest that they still  have a lot of work to be done to improve these numbers.
