M.S. Dhoni stumps Luke Ronchi faster than the speed of light 1

Well, we have always heard stories and tales of M.S. Dhoni and his safe and electric pair of hands, but from past few months, we have not been able to see them in action due to the absence of M.S. Dhoni from Test cricket. Before this series, he last played for India in the month of August, that too just 2 T20I’s.

In his absence, though, Wriddhiman Saha did a good job but still missed that ‘X’ factor of wicketkeeping that M.S. Dhoni possesses. There is a popular quote that M.S. Dhoni’s pair of hands has a speed which travels faster than the speed of light, we aren’t saying this just for fun as today again he affected one of the fastest of the stumpings in the history of cricket, this time against New Zealand and it was Luke Ronchi who was his bunny. Ronchi had no time to think what happened to him as Dhoni took no time to do complete the assigned task. He was stumped with the blink of the eye and once again Mahi showed why he is called as one of the first wicketkeepers in cricket.

It was the second delivery of 31st over by Amit Mishra that dodged Luke Ronchi and turned away from Ronchi going to wicketkeeper M.S. Dhoni. No one would have thought what is going in Dhoni’s mind as in no time he collected the bowl and straightway made a contact between ball and stumps affecting another wicket in the game. Ronchi doubted the act but Dhoni was confident and it is said that if Dhoni has given it out, then it’s out without a doubt.

“Hands faster than a pickpocket”, “fastest hands in the east” were some of the phrases coming out of Ravi Shastri’s mind in praise of M.S. Dhoni.

The on-field umpires called for the third umpire and as expected, Ronchi was out. M.S. Dhoni once again pulled off one of the fastest stumpings in the history of cricket and told why he is called one of the best wicketkeepers in the history of cricket. Jadhav added to Kiwi woes by taking a wicket very next over which left New Zeland tottering on a score of 170/6 at the end of 32 overs.
