It seems Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is deeply hurt after his team was mauled 4-0 by his former team, Chelsea on Sunday as according to reports, the Portuguese tactician has adopted a ‘cold’ and ‘distant’ approach with his players on the training ground.
English news outlet The Times has reported that the players are stunned with Mourinho’s attitude. The daily reported that one of the senior players of the Old Trafford outfit said that the manager sometimes asks his assistant, Rui Faria, to conduct training sessions while he watches from a distance.
The former Chelsea manager is having some tough time as a manager. He was sacked by Chelsea in December last year after Chelsea’s dismal defence to their Premier League title. Things started brightly for him at Old Trafford as the Red Devils started the season with three consecutive wins in the league. Before that, they had won the Community Shield. The arrival of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic had created an air of optimism around Old Trafford. However, their season has taken an ugly turn and it is going from bad to worse with every passing game.

The Red Devils are seventh in the Premier League, six points behind Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool at the top of the table and are showing no signs of improvement yet.
The report claimed that Mourinho’s recent method on the training ground is completely different from the one he practised in Chelsea where he was highly active in the training sessions. As a result, several United players have been left disappointed as they were expecting the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss to show special interest in them.
Well, the United players and Mourinho will have to buckle up as they are all set to face arch rivals Manchester City in an EFL Cup tie on Wednesday. The Red Devils have already lost once against their city rivals and another defeat is only going to deteriorate the situations for them.
