Antonio Conte ready to bring Manchester United flop back to the Premier League 1

Chelsea was dealt a cruel blow this week when they were kicked out of the League Cup by London rivals West Ham on Tuesday.

Without European football on the cards, Conte is now without a cup competition to fight in until the FA Cup starts and this leaves the manager with plenty of time to keep his team in the right frame of mind for every league game.

Though the manager spent big money on top transfer targets in the summer, Conte is just not happy with the returns of most of his star players this season and has been on the lookout for some quality in Europe.

His search has taken him all over Europe with stars around the world linked with a move to Chelsea. But one name that is now doing the rounds is Argentina international Angel di Maria.

The former Real Madrid man, who had a torrid time at Old Trafford a couple of seasons ago, is currently out of sorts at the French capital.

He made a stellar start to his career in League 1 scoring 10 goals and providing 18 assists in 29 league games for his side.

However, he has struggled to find that form this season and has been out of favor under the new PSG boss Unai Emery who has not been able to stick with the attacker due to lack of form.

Di Maria has failed to score a single goal in the 9 appearances in the domestic league this season and is pondering over a move away from the club.

Though his stint in the Premier League was not memorable, he managed to provide 10 assists in all competition in a Red Devil Jersey and showed that given a bit of a time, he can turn out to be a top class player even in England.

So it does not come as a surprise the Antonio Conte wants to add him to the squad in the next couple of transfer windows.

A number of big clubs from Europe are after his signature but it is understood that Conte is a huge admirer of the 28-year old and is ready to pounce on him with every chance they get.

With just 2 assists in 14 games in all competitions this season, Di Maria is terribly out of form but Conte is reportedly interested in his signature and believes that given the right amount of time, the Argentine can turn out to be a top class player for the Blues.

It will, however, be interesting to see if Conte, who is also looking to add Antoine Griezmann to his squad in a big money move, is ready to splash the cash on the PSG man.

Do you think Angel di Maria is a good option for Chelsea?
