Star Of The Season So Far For Liverpool Might Not Stay At The Club For Too Long As Barcelona Come Calling 1

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are having some great times this season having managed to stitch a 11-game unbeaten streak in all competitions early this season.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Dejan Lovren, Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip have been superb this season for the Reds but one player who is the man of the season so far for Liverpool is Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

The 24-year old has started 9 of the 10 games this season for the Reds and has picked up 4 goals and 4 assists making him one of the best players in attack this season in the Premier League.

He was the man of the match in the last two games for the side against the Baggies and the Eagles and is now showing some great consistency to add to his exciting play.

At 24, he has a huge career ahead of him and there is an impending fear in the fans of the club that there will inevitably be a call from some of the big guns from Europe to add him to their squad.

And according to recent reports, those days are already here as Barcelona are now monitoring his situation and are ready to pounce on him at the end of the season.

A story from Tribal Football has revealed that the Catalan giants were interested in his signature before the start of the season but were not happy with the price quoted by Liverpool. However, having seen him start the season in such fine form, Luis Enrique has now reportedly made him a top transfer target for the next summer.

The source of that story went on to say that the Brazilian is not withdrawn from the idea of moving to the Cam Nou and the likes of Luis Suarez, a former Red, might play a role in luring him to the La Liga.

It is also understood that Barcelona are backing on the friendship of Neymar Jr and Philippe Coutinho to lure the Liverpool man to the club while his stay at that club playing for Espanyol, might be another factor that can lure him to Barcelona.

The 24-year old is expected to be a replacement for Andres Iniesta in the midfield for Barcelona which will mean the he will have to change his game a wee bit to fit into the side. That along with the chance to be the center of the revolution at Anfield might see Coutinho stay at the club a bit longer.

However, if he can keep up his impressive form throughout the season, Barcelona will surely come calling with an offer that will be hard to refuse for the player and also for the club.

It will be a huge loss for Liverpool but do you think the Brazilian will make a move away from Anfield in the next few transfer windows?
