Suarez’s Return To Premier League!! Here Comes The Update You Are Waiting For 1

Well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has told Sky Sports that reported Manchester United target Luis Suarez will not leave Barcelona anytime soon.

The Sun recently claimed that United boss Jose Mourinho is interested in signing the former Liverpool striker.

It was also reported that the Portuguese is lining up a £135 million bid for the 29-year-old Uruguay international.

Wayne Rooney’s lack of consistency and the irregularity of Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has forced Mourinho to look for a goalscorer in Suarez’s mould.

However, Suarez asking to leave Barcelona at the moment is practically impossible. And the club don’t have any intention of selling him.

Balague has given his take on the speculation, claiming that Suarez will not leave Barcelona anytime soon.

“I’ve seen rumours in the British press about Manchester United preparing a £135m bid for Luis Suarez,” Balague told Sky Sports.

“The dream of Luis Suarez was to come to Barcelona. He has no intention whatsoever of leaving Barcelona anytime soon.

“It’s where he wants to end his career as a top athlete. Other clubs may try it, of course, but it would be futile.”

Suarez joined Spanish giants Barcelona from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee at the time to be worth 75 million pounds.

The former Ajax striker has been a massive hit at Camp Nou and has established himself as an integral part of the team.

The 29-year-old has won La Liga twice and the Champions League once already with Barca.

Suarez has scored seven goals and created 13 chances in nine La Liga appearances for Barcelona so far this season.

The Uruguayan striker has scored two goals and created four chances in three Champions League matches for Luis Enrique’s side so far this campaign.

Meanwhile, Spanish media reported that Barcelona club president Josep Maria Bartomeu and Pere Guardiola, Luis Suarez’s agent are close to announcing an extension to the striker’s contract that will keep the Uruguayan at Camp Nou through to 2021.

Suarez is happy in Barcelona and feels a key part of the club’s project and future direction. Catalan sports daily Mundo Deportivo report that a few minor details are still to be ironed out before the extension can be signed and subsequently confirmed officially.
