Alcohol, the word is enough in India to lit up controversy or a debate. In fact, drinking is banned in some parts of India including Gujarat, where first Test match between Indian and England is to be played. Keeping the problem of alcohol in mind, Foreign Office (FCO) has issued a warning for Barmy Army to stay away from drinking when they visit India to cheer for their home team, “All match venues reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who is drunk and/or disorderly,” it warns, adding that drink is banned (along with “professional camera/video/audio equipment”) from all the Test grounds” an FCO statement reads.

In addition to that, the Barmy Army has also been warned to keep a check on their behavior during the tour. The members of the army will not be allowed inside the premises if anyone is found violating any law or feels like misbehaving whilst in the match place.
Barmy Army has been the main source of joy whenever the England team is playing any game. They form a large proportion of support in the crowd cheering for their team but the laws in Inda and England’s contrary to each other. Here, violating a law can also land you in prison.
Keeping this in mind, FCO has issued a warning for army Army. This  is a long tour for England coming comprising of 11 games, 5 of which are Test matches. Surely, along with England team, Barmy army too have their own challenges while coming here.
