Chelsea Trio Up For Player Of The Month Award While Conte And Wenger Fight For Manager Award 1

Chelsea stars Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante have all been nominated for the October’s Premier League Player of the Month award. The Blues have discovered their lost form which has seen them rise to the top in October as they now stand a genuine chance to make a claim to win the Premier League title.

Antonio Conte had been under huge pressure after their consecutive losses to Liverpool and Arsenal but the Italian manager have changed the system to a back three which is creating wonders for Chelsea as they have won four Premier League games in a row in October making them the most consistent team in the league in the last month. However, the highlight of their campaign so far has been the drubbing of Manchester United by 4-0 making it one of their most memorable victories.

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton, Stoke City’s Joe Allen, Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan are among others who are running for the coveted trophy.

As far as the manager of the month award is concerned, a host of high profile names have been included as top teams like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been top notch in the league leaving little room for their opponents in their games.

Antonio Conte is the leading manager for the trophy as Arsene Wenger of Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool are also running for the award as their respective teams have dropped two points while Chelsea have remained the only winning team throughout the four weeks.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes have also joined the nominees for the manager of the month award after some incredible performances by Stoke last month to revive their campaign. The Potters have also managed 10 points from their four games as Mark Hughes also remains a top contender for the award.
