The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have named left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman in the 22-man preparatory squad for the Test series against New Zealand which is scheduled to start played in the last week of December. The players will fly to Australia next month for a 10-day long training camp in Sydney after the completion of Bangladesh Premier League.

Mustafizur is currently recovering from the shoulder surgery which he underwent after getting injured during his short stint with Sussex.

The 22-man squad includes four uncapped players namely uncapped Tanveer Haider, Ebadat Hossain, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Subashis Roy. Interestingly, there is no place for Kamrul Islam Rabbi, who was the member of playing XI in both the Tests against England.

Bangladesh was able to level the Test series against England by virtue of winning the Last Test at Mirpur. Just like Mustafizur, Bangladesh got a new star in form of Mehedi Hasan Miraz took a total of 19 wickets in the two-Test series.

Bangladesh is scheduled to play a full series against New Zealand comprising of three ODIs, three T20s and two Test matches.
