Huge News: Liverpool Midfielder Ready To Commit His Long-Term Future At The Club 1

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is ready to commit his long-term future to the Reds as he insists he is very happy at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.

The 23-year old has joined Reds in 2014 and has been 18 months into his contract with him being into his final year of his contract. But the player insists that the negotiations over a new deal are going on and are progressing well.

“Yes, the club has spoken to my agent,” Can said.

“The talks are going very good. I have one-and-a-half years left. I am still under contract and it is my agent’s work (to sort it out).

“I am very happy here at Liverpool.”

The German midfielder joined Liverpool for £9.75million from Bayer Leverkusen and have been one of the most important midfielders for the Reds since his arrival. He has been impressive under Klopp and has regained his form despite suffering an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for a while.

Can has also expressed his disappointment over not getting selected to the national team for the upcoming international friendlies as he is being overlooked by Joachim Low. However, the midfielder is keen to make good performances at Anfield to make his way back to the German national team. Germany will play World Cup qualifier with San Marino on November 11, which is followed by a friendly against Italy four days later.

“Yes, getting back in there is a big motivation for me,” Can continued.

“I don’t know why I’m not in the squad this time. Maybe the manager will call me or send me a message.

“I have to work hard here in the training sessions and in the games and hopefully that will help me get back into the squad.”
