Premier League: Manchester United Player Ratings After Their Victory Over Swansea 1

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba stepped up as Manchester United were finally able to get back to winning ways going into the international break early this month. The Frenchman produced a moment of brilliance to put United in front while a brace from Zlatan saw United go three-nil up before the break. It was a comfortable night for the Red Devils who were hardly tested. With the win, they moved to sixth place in the points table. There were a number of decent performances and here are the player ratings for the visitors for this game:

David de Gea (6):

The Spaniard was troubled in Istanbul but had a rather comfortable day with a struggling Swansea attack.

Ashley Young (5):

Bought in for the injured Valencia, Young, put in a decent performance on the night as he was hardly tested by the hosts at the back.

Phil Jones (5):

Coming back into first team action after eight months, Jones, put in a good performance on but was at fault for Van der Hoorn’s goal in the second half.

Marcos Rojo (5):

The Argentine stuck to his task well as he kept out the little threats that were posed by a Swansea attack that just could not get going on the night.

Matteo Darmian (5):

Pushed into a left-back position, Darmian, was hardly tested at the back and failed to provide any kind of an assistance in the final third.

Michael Carrick (7):

Adding the experience needed in the center of the park for United, Carrick, stuck to his task well in the midfield and dominated the game for his side.

Marouane Fellaini (6):

Though he put in a decent effort, Fellaini, did not do enough for himself and will find it hard  to get back into the starting XI when the first team players are fit for Mourinho.

The French international finally produced a moment of brilliance that got the whole Premier League stand up and watch his heroics. His sumptuous volley gave United the lead as they went on to take all three points from this game.

The Spaniard was not really sizzling on the night but was disciplined and kept the ball rolling to keep up the pressure on Swansea.

The Manchester United skipper was back into the starting XI this weekend and he justified his selection but picking up two assists and giving his team a victory.

Used as a time wasting substitute right at the end, Schneiderlin, hardly got a touch of the ball coming off the bench.

The youngster came in the 94th minute of the game and got himself another appearance in the Premier League.
