The defending Champions Mumbai, and the strongest team in Group C, Punjab, marched towards a win in their game against Railways and Uttar Pradesh respectively. Punjab needed just 51 runs to chase in the day which they did before the end of the first session. On the other hand, Mumbai needed 6 wickets to end the play, but Railways batsmen were able to eclipse Mumbai’s total gaining a mere lead of 23, which Mumbai chased down in 5 overs.
