Massive Blow: Key Manchester United Midfielder Suffers Calf Injury 1

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has returned back to the club from Belgium national squad as he suffered a calf injury.

Fellaini will miss the international games against Netherlands and Estonia and Belgium’s manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed about the injury the midfielder has suffered.

The 28-year old who has revived his career under Jose Mourinho this season has reportedly suffered the injury during their 3-1 victory against Swansea City last weekend and could be doubtful for the high profile game against Arsenal after the international break. Having played the full 90 minutes against Swansea, Fellaini has flew out to Belgium to train with the national team but was forced to get back to Manchester because of his injury.

Roberto Matinez has said: ‘Fellaini picked up an injury against Swansea City and will go back to his club! We have a core of 24 players is enough.

‘Apart from Fellaini, everyone is in order. Mousa Dembele is restored but will still be resting against the Netherlands.

‘We are counting on him against Estonia. Kevin De Bruyne is feeling a little tired, but it will appear certainly my selection Wednesday.’

The midfielder is expected to be assessed over the extent of injury he has suffered and Jose Mourinho would be hopeful that he could be available for the Arsenal game. Mourinho would be hoping that other players would come back to the club uninjured after their respective international duties.
