Heart Breaking for Gunners: Big Arsenal Star Suffer Muscle Tear In Training 1

Arsenal star forward Alexis Sanchez has suffered a low grade muscle tear while training with the Chile national team.

The 27-year old was sidelined during a session at Chile’s training camp with what appeared to be a calf problem. The injury could be a huge blow for Arsenal as the Chilean has been the one of the vital contributors to the club which has helped them get a near-perfect start to the season.

“The medical team of the Chilean national team can confirm Alexis Sanchez has a low grade muscle tear.

“He will remain in Santiago, under treatment and in evaluation for the meeting against Uruguay,” said a statement released by ANFP, Chile’s national football association.

The forward is expected to stay at Santiago to undergo evaluation on the extent of injury and have a little treatment on the same. Chile will face Colombia for a World Cup Qualifier on Thursday and then play against Uruguay on November 15.

Sanchez has looked a whole different player this season as he has already scored eight goals for the club in all competitions. The news comes as a huge blow for Gunners as they are going to have a number of tough games in the month of November.

Arsenal will face Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend after the international break and also have another high profile game against Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month in the Emirates which will decide their fate in the group as the outcome would determine the leaders and runners in the Champions League group which could affect their draw in the knockout rounds.
