India started the day at 63/0 but Gautam Gambhir’s uncanny dismissal gave England the early advantage. But Chesteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay turned out to be too good for England as they quite easily steadied the Indian ship by scoring centuries each. But unfortunately, both batsmen could not see off the day with Vijay falling quite late in the day. England thus had the last laugh as they picked up two quick wickets at the end of the day.

India vs England First Test Day Three: Five Talking Points! 1

Gambhir’s uncanny dismissal : Indian opener Gautam Gambhir who made a comeback to the Test squad in the absence of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul failed to make it big in the first innings of the first test match in Rajkot. Gambhir and Vijay came out to bat at 63 for no loss on day 3 of the first test when Gambhir was batting on 28. Gambhir could add only one run to his tally before getting out lbw in front of the stumps to Stuart Broad. It was a wonderful delivery by Stuart Broad as Gambhir failed to make contact with the bat.
