Confirmed: Frustrated Liverpool Star Ready To Leave Club, Arsenal Interest Involved 1

Liverpool ace Daniel Sturridge is reportedly ready to quit the club in the upcoming transfer window after accepting the fact that he is not the number one choice for Jurgen Klopp. Reports are suggesting that the Merseyside club has put a price tag of around £28 million on the striker.

The England international, who arrived at Anfield from Chelsea for £12 million nearly four years ago, had a brilliant 2013-14 season when he finished the season as its second highest goal-scorer with 21 goals. However, he has failed to replicate such form after that season. The 2014-15 season was marred by injuries that saw him restricted to only twelve Premier League matches plus six cup-ties. He could score only 5 goals that season. The following season was better than the previous season, but not a great one by his standards. Injury disrupted that season too and he could play only 14 games in the league, scoring eight goals in the process.

The ongoing season has been the toughest for him so far, as he has started just four Premier League matches this season for the leaders and is yet to score a league goal. With the team doing really well, it is quite unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would disrupt the winning combination. Both Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi are ahead of Sturridge in the pecking order and are seen by Klopp as better team players.

With the English international desperate to get maximum playing time, a way out of Anfield is looking like the only option which can fulfil it. The Daily Mirror has reported that the 27-year old has become frustrated with his condition at the club and is ready to leave. The report claimed that both West Ham and Stoke City are interested in securing the services of the striker.
