Liverpool might miss their star man Adam Lallana for the Premier League clash against Southampton after picking up a knock during England’s 2-2 stalemate against Spain in an international friendly.
The England international limped off the pitch after only 24 minutes when he failed to shake off a knock from a tackle which has cast huge doubts over his participation in the game against his former club.

The midfielder is in sensational form for club and country right now and missing him will be a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp. After scoring in his previous two games for England, he shot the Three Lions to lead against Spain by converting from the spot before leaving the pitch.
After moving to Anfield from Southampton in 2014, the midfielder has been one of the most improved performers under Klopp. He has made a brilliant start to the season and is one of the main reasons for Liverpool moving to the top of the Premier League. While his creativity was never in doubt, he has become even more potent this season with his goal-scoring prowess. The midfielder has scored thrice and has registered 5 assists in 11 league games so far.
One can take a measure of his importance to the Liverpool team from the fact that the Reds struggled to penetrate the Manchester United defence last month in his absence. The free- scoring Reds were held to a goalless stalemate by Jose Mourinho’s men and Klopp would be hoping that the midfielder gets fit in time for the tricky trip to St Mary’s.
Meanwhile, England’s interim manager Gareth Southgate heaped lavish praise on the in-form midfielder and rued the injury to the Liverpool ace.
Southgate said: “He’s being assessed by the medical team at the moment.
“It’s a great shame as I’ve really enjoyed working with him.
“He’s an intelligent and talents football who is starting to add goals to his game for England. He was key to how we wanted to play tonight.”
