The Indian skipper Virat Kohli and England batsman Joe Root are set to create history as both the youngsters are set to play their 50th Test match tomorrow. The moment both will take the field tomorrow at Vizag, history will be created as both will enter a new millennium and a new world. Representing your country in 50 Test matches is never ever easy for a player as playing 50 Test matches needs courage, form and fitness to last long this much period. If a player is able to last this much period then it is enough to tell about the class of a player.

Talking of both these two players, they ar a gem for their respective sides. Both of these are a  cog in the wheel of debate of top four batsmen in word cricket at present.

Well, one can say that Joe root is better than Virat Kohli in Tests but it’s a fact that Virat is superior to any other batsman in other two formats of the game. Also, Kohli is captain of Indian team, this puts extra pressure on Kohli.

Going by numbers, there is not much difference between Kohli and Root as Root possess an average of 53.55 in Test whereas Kohli bats at a rate of 46.11. In ODI’s, Kohli betters Root as he possesses an average of 52.93 in this format compared to Root who bats at 45.71.

In T20s, Kohli is way ahead of any other batsman as he bats at sky towering average of  57.13 in T20’s. Root’s average is on a lower side as he bats at the rate of 37.50 in T20s.

Numbers suggests that Kohli is a better batsman than Root in two formats of the game whereas will soon eclipse Root if he continues to bat like this.
