Fans have absolutely savaged England skipper Wayne Rooney after he was pictured at a wedding after England’s 3-0 over Scotland.
English news outlet The Sun published few pictures of the Manchester United man and reported that the striker drank so much that he was finding it tough even to stand properly.
As quoted in the outlet, a source said:“He couldn’t string a sentence together and was falling over like the ‘comedy drunk’ – no-one could believe this was the England captain. He was out of his head sinking glass after glass of red wine.
“The pictures were taken in the early hours and everyone carried on drinking after that,” the source added.
The England international started in the World Cup qualifier against Scotland but missed Tuesday’s 2-2 stalemate against Spain in an international friendly because of a knee injury. However, some fans are now convinced that the striker did not miss the Spain game due to the injury. The United star is under severe pressure and is fighting hard to save his career.After being dropped from the starting eleven for few matches, he started in United’s last game against Swansea. But he is still looking like a pale shadow of his former self and his latest antic has only made the matters worse for him.
As expected, the fans were furious with the striker and took to Twitter to express their frustration.
