England Reporters Invade Mohali Pitch Even After Warning, Leave Curators Amused 1
England media contingents along with Michael Vaughan invade the Mohali pitch ahead of 3rd Test.

Ahead of the much anticipated series between India and England, the touring party in their build-up talked a lot about the nature of the pitches which were to be offered.

England, who almost won the first Test at Rajkot, praised the track by calling it ‘Fair’. However, they did not seem content with the pitch offered for the Visakhapatnam Test, a dry and dusty one rather, which saw India clinching a convincing 246-run win.

Though ahead of the third Test which starts from Saturday, few of the English news channel reporters were seen roaming around the pitch and invading it even after been refused to do so by the ground curators, as reported by The Hindustan Times.

In the absence of the head curator Daljit Singh, his deputy Rakesh Kumar failed to prevent the English media contingent from intruding the playing area of the ground. Even after his repeated efforts, the touring media crew did not listen, raising question on the ‘fair play’ of the game. Much to their worry, the Indian reporters kept themselves away from the deck, realizing that Daljit prohibits anyone to come close to it until the match begins.

Michael Vaughan, former England captain, was spotted near the brown track and also made a video of it ahead of the match.

Commentators Nasser Hussain and Michael Atherton were seen playing football which left the curators fuming.

The situation was taken under control after Daljit arrived and the took charge.
