Video - World Record Basketball Shot 1

Life is all about living your dreams and achieving something simply extraordinary and out of the world. To have a successful feeling of triumph and a high self-esteem, an individual needs to broaden his horizon and push his skills to the extreme limit.

Precisely, this is what Brett Stanford, Derek Herron and Scott Gaunson from ‘How Ridiculous’ (Australia) accomplished recently on September 26. Herron, etched himself in the history books as he entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the Greatest Height from which a basketball is shot.

The unimaginable record was achieved from a height of 180.968 meters or 593 FT. The location for this breathtaking record was the picturesque venue of Mauvoisin Dam, Valais, Switzerland.

In his attempt, Herron launched the ball from the top of the dam and it curved into the valley underneath. The ball curved and on its way below, passed successfully through the basket as the ‘How Ridiculous’ team immortalized themselves in history.

Below is the video depicting the epic world record.
