Divock Origi and James Milner scored in the final fifteen minutes to fire the Reds to the top of the Premier League table. However, they will drop to the second position if Chelsea wins against Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, it was a mixed day for Liverpool as their star player Philippe Coutinho was stretchered off after being challenged by Didier Ndong while trying to kick a ball. The Liverpool star was then stretchered off the field as he was seen g writhing in pain. The home team were already missing Adam Lallana and after Coutinho’s departure, they were finding it tough to create any clear-cut chances despite enjoying the majority of the possession. The first half ended goallessly and Liverpool were looking destined to drop points again. However, a curling effort from Divock Origi, who came on as a substitute for Coutinho, in the 75th minute broke the deadlock. The Reds sealed their win when James Milner converted from the spot late in the game.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the match:
#LIVSUN 2 clean sheets in a row since God knows when! This's d 1st time that @LFC has kept clean sheet in a win this season. @thisisanfield

Why was David Moyes furious ? Most of the match was played on their half. More a case of LFC's poor finishing than their defending. #LIVSUN

Looks like Coutinho is out for 6 months. Perhaps as well Liverpool won the league 3 weeks ago, they'd have been worried otherwise.

Liverpool have won in every way possible this season – coming from behind, leading from front, full-on blitz, grinding one out. That's good.

Moyes: "Liverpool are probably the best attacking team in the Premier League. The last place you'd want to come after two wins is Anfield."
