England Bored Me With Their Bowling: Ravindra Jadeja 1

India’s top performer in the first innings of Mohali Test, Ravindra Jadeja was in some mood while attending the post-match press conference on Monday. After making some noise with the bat earlier in the day, Jadeja made the press guys laugh in the close door as well.

When asked about the mystery behind the celebration, Jadeja said it’s his trademark Rajput style and he loves it.

“It’s my trademark Rajput style. I can’t bring a real sword to the ground. So I do it with the bat”.

The left-handed batsman hammered ten boundaries and one six to reach his highest Test score of 90 runs but failed to convert it into a big one. Adil Rashid’s flighted delivery from outside the off-stump provoked him for a big shot which eventually landed in the safe hands of Chris Woakes. When questioned about why he got out playing the attacking shot, he had a typical Jadeja answer to offer.

” I tried doing something else. England was boring me with their bowling.”

Speaking more on the battle between both the nations, the all-rounder insisted that when a team is on top, their bowlers tend to do well.

“In Test cricket when a team is on top their bowlers appear to do well. In 2014 Eng spinners seemed like Muralitharan.”
