Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are one of the most exciting teams in the tournament this season and have made a decent start to their campaign.
They are currently in the 2nd place in the points table, just a point off the top of the table and are looking to compete for the title for the first time in more than 3 years. They have also qualified for the semi-final of the League Cup for the record 17th time in their history this season and are expected to compete with the best in the country.
However, the club was dealt a huge blow after it was revealed that start player Philippe Coutinho will no be available for selection for atleast another 5 weeks, as he nurses his ankle injury he picked up in the game against Sunderland.
Coutinho has been the most influential player for the Reds in the last two season and his loss, compounded with the injury to Danny Ings, has seen the manager look to add attacking options to his squad in January.
Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic is high on the wish list at Anfield but Klopp has just added another name to the list.
According to recent reports, Liverpool are now looking to add Celtic striker Moussa Dembele to their squad to cope with Coutinho’s absence in January.

The 20-year old Celtic striker has been in sublime form this season scoring 17 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions already. He is integral to the plans of the former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers at Celtic but Rodgers might not be able to keep him at the club if Liverpool are ready to meet his valuation.
According to the same report, the 20-year old French striker is valued close to £20m and that Liverpool are going to launch an early £20m bid in the January transfer window to try and lure him to Anfield.
It’s understood £10m will be paid up front to the Scottish giants, with Jurgen Klopp eyeing a deal of £60,000-a-week for Dembele.
The report went on to suggest that Klopp has already sent scouts to watch the forward in action recently and is convinced that he will be a great addition to the squad.

Klopp also wants to promise Dembele regular game time at the club but it is to be seen if Rodgers is ready to let the youngster go in the middle of the season.
Liverpool are not the only club interested in his signature with Arsenal and Manchester United also monitoring his situation but Klopp is determined that Dembele will improve Liverpool and is ready to make the first approach after the window is reopen.
Do you think Moussa Dembele is a good option for Liverpool in January?
