Kirti Azad, former Indian cricketer and Bhartiya Janta Party’s suspended Member of Parliament, hailed the recommendations laid by Justice RM Lodha committee, which has been appointed by the Supreme Court (SC), for the overhauling of Indian cricket and the viable cricket organization the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In recent past, the Lodha Commitee came up with several reports in a bid to refine things in Indian cricket that unfortunately have transpired during the past few years.
While making a sensible comment at the domestic cricket league IPL, Azad suggested not to blame one for all.
“All members of the then 2009 Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council are equally responsible for the mess.” Azad said.
Azad also stressed to include such committees for other sporting governing bodies in the country, to run a smooth process during the progammes and trials.
During the programme which has been organized by Bankers Sports Club of Nagpur at a city hotel on Sunday, Azad took a jibe at the world’s most powerful board, the BCCI.
“BCCI is like a spoiled brat obsessed with a toy that is cricket and unwilling to let it go,” Azad while adding, “Why are they opposing Lodha committee recommendations?”
Hopefully, it’s not that late for both parties to settle on that one thing which would bring some preferred results on the ground for cricket crazy nation.
