The 4th Test match between India and England being played at the famous Wankhede stadium saw something unlikely on its second day. India is leading the series 2-0 and would be hoping to wrap up the series in the 4th test itself whereas England is playing to save a series defeat at the hands of India. On day 2 of the fourth Test match, something unlikely happened which cost India 2 runs in their first innings.
India was batting on 20 when Indian opener KL Rahul hit Adil Rashid for a six. But the umpire judged it as a four as a result of which India lost 2 runs. But in spite of the wrong decision, there was no appeal from the hosts which was quite surprising. But after looking at the video more than once it is clear that it was a six and not a four. It was clearly a case of an umpiring error which is not to be expected at such a level.
India finished day 2 at 146 with the loss of only one wicket. The one batsman to be dismissed is KL Rahul who should have had a six to his name. Rahul managed 24 runs before getting out to Moeen Ali. However, India has made a bright start to their innings and is likely to get past England’s total of 400.
