Barclays Premier League Team Of The Week: Match Day 15 1

The 15th round of the Premier League fixtures is already done and dusted and a few teams will be happy with the returns from this round. Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Watford and Southampton were the only teams to get a victory in the top half of the table while Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and West Brom all dropped points at the weekend.

There were a number of top class individual performances however, throughout the teams in the league while some of them managed to win his team the game almost single handedly. Here is the Premier League ‘Team of the Week’ for Match Day 15, including all such players:

David de Gea (Manchester United):

Making a number of top class saves throughout the game, De Gea, kept United in the hunt against Spurs and was the best keeper this weekend alongside Hugo Lloris who was on the losing side.

Hector Bellerin (Arsenal):

With three key passes and an assist, the Spanish full-back made a loud statement playing in the first game coming back from injury.

Gary Cahill (Chelsea):

Keeping yet another clean sheet for the Blues, the English defender is growing in confidence by the game and was a man mountain at the back against the Baggies at the weekend.

Jonny Evans (West Bromwich Albion):

Though ended up on the losing side, the former Manchester United man, was the biggest hurdle for Chelsea at the Bridge and was one of the best defenders in the league this weekend.

Marcos Rojo (Manchester United):

Slowly cementing a place in the starting XI at the club after injuries, Rojo, put in a mammoth effort against the Spurs as he helped his side at both ends of the field in an impressive performance.

Jeff Hendrick (Burnely):

The Burnley midfielder was at the top of his game against the Cherries at the weekend as he scored a sumptuous volley to open the scoring and went on to control the game to his will in an impressive performance.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Manchester United):

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

The Armenian winger is finally getting regular game time under his belt and he showed why he is an impact player, scoring the winner on the night for United against the Spurs.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace):

The former Manchester United winger was at the top of his game in his team’s 3-3 draw against Hull at the weekend. He scored the equalizer that got his team a point and gets into this team with his performances.

Stefano Okaka (Watford):

Scoring two sumptuous goals against Everton, Okaka, was the biggest reason for Watford’s victory over the Toffees and makes it to our best XI of the week.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City):

His usual self for the first time this season, Vardy, was all over Stones and Kolarov this weekend as he gave them a nightmare with his running, scoring three superb and diverse goals to give his side all three points from this game.

Diego Costa (Chelsea):

Showing his biggest strengths as a player, Diego Costa, scored yet another poachers goal this week against the Baggies at a time when nothing seemed to happen for the Blues to give them all three points from the game.
