England pacer James Anderson on Sunday criticized the Indian pitches saying it hides Virat Kohli’s flaws as a batsman. The Indian Test skipper played a crucial innings of 235 off 340 deliveries which clearly took the match away from England. The innings did not seem to have gone down well with Anderson, who spoke against Indian pitches as it takes the sting out of the pacers according to him.

Ravichandran Ashwin was clearly unhappy with Anderson’s comments and expressed the same to the right-arm pacer when he came out to bat on Day 5 of the fourth test. Ashwin’s words were not taken nicely by the bowler and it provoked a verbal spat between the two cricketers. Gradually, Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja also got involved. The umpire had to intervene the situation as the situation could have taken a rough shape.

According to Virat Kohli, he stepped forward to calm things down as the feud looked to have got serious at a time. The Indian skipper also said Ashwin did not use any bad words and spoke to the point with Anderson. In reply to Anderson’s comment, Ashwin asked the Englishmen to learn to accept defeat and told him how Indian cricketers prefer to find out their own faults rather than complaining.
