Frank Lampard Confirms He Will Be At Chelsea 1

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has hinted of a potential return to his former club.

A couple of days ago, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte had said that the former England international would not be joining the Blues as a coach.

He had said:” It was very good, very nice to see him. He’s a legend for this club and it’s fantastic when he comes to see the training sessions, to talk with us and stay with former team-mates. I found him in good form.

“We didn’t talk about this [becoming a coach]. I think Frank wants to continue to play football, and I repeat: I saw him in good form, in good shape, to continue to play football. Then, for his future, I think it’s better to ask him,” the former Juventus boss added.

But the 38-year old, it seems, is desperate to return at the Stamford Bridge in any possible role.

Chelsea’s all-time record goal-scorer, speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM show alongside John Terry, said:“Myself and John are Chelsea through and through. Whatever happens, in some capacity I will be at Chelsea, whether that’s with my season ticket watching them, but I don’t know.”

“I will be in very close contact, whether I have a role, that’s not all in my hands so I can’t go any further than that.

Speaking about his future plans, he said:“I am very relaxed about it, which is a nice place to be. I’m not kind of eager that the end of my career is coming and thinking, ‘What’s going to happen now?’
“I’m relaxed and if the right thing comes, then I’ll take it. Obviously Chelsea, I would love that, but it doesn’t always work that way.
“I’ve taken this Christmas to enjoy family, a couple of beers and an extra turkey and I’ll make a decision in January whether I carry on playing – I have a few options – or finish and move on to whatever the next thing will be,” he added.
