Arsenal have finally managed to get back to winning ways after losing their last two Premier League games against Everton and Manchester City. The Gunners have been very dominant in the game but has failed to find the back of the net till the dying moments against West Brom as the visitors’ defense was well organized to nullify Arsenal’s threat.
However, the winner eventually came in the 87th minute as a pin point cross from Mesut Ozil saw striker Olivier Giroud head home three points from the home side. The win is a much needed one for Gunners as they saw a huge dip of form in the month of December and have dropped six important points in their last fixtures.
The Gunners have dominated in attack and possession but Foster was at his best to keep off the home side from scoring as he made some incredible saves. The win is a moral booster for Arsenal as they can look into the new year with more confidence. However, they remain nine points adrift off league leaders Chelsea as their cross city rivals Chelsea managed 3-0 win.
Here we look at how twitter reacted to Arsenal’s late winner to clinch three crucial points.
