The moral police on social media posed a barrage of questions on Saturday to former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif and criticized him for posting his photographs on micro-blogging website Twitter in which he was seen performing Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation).
“Surya Namaskar is a complete workout for the physical system, a comprehensive exercise form without any need for equipment,” Kaif mentioned in one of his tweets to clarify the things.
The right-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh, who has been enjoying commentary in the recent past, had a befitting reply to some nasty questions when he was told such practices are against religion.
“In all four pics, I had Allah in my heart. Can’t understand what doing any exercise, Surya Namaskar or gym, has to do with religion. It benefits all,” Kaif revealed
It becomes pertinent that the fast-bowler Mohammed Shami was questioned in a similar fashion over the selection of his wife’s dress when he posted her photo on Facebook.
